Mt. Magazine Action Group
A volunteer organization to support Mount Magazine State Park The Mt. Magazine Action Group was formed in the Spring of 2004 to provide volunteer support to the mission of Arkansas' newest State Park, Mt. Magazine. The group, known in short as Mt.MAG is made up of citizens just like you from the communities around the park. Some serve as greeters and hospitality coordinators for special events in the park, others serve in administrative positions and still others participate in labor intensive activities like trail work, highway cleanup and carpentry. Whatever you have to offer, Mt.MAG has a place for you. Volunteers are valuable! You can help maintain trails, assist with gardening and general landscaping, litter control, and be a greeter at Mount Magazine State Park special events such as the Butterfly Festival. MtMAG will have work days and volunteer opportunities throughout the year. Volunteer efforts are not limited to physical labor. Historical research, computer work, office work, exhibit help and promotion are always needed.
Park Maintenance is just a part of what Mt.MAG is all about. MEMBERSHIP DUTIES
