“There’s Plenty To Do Every Month of the Year!” Yell County Fair Held annually in mid September, The tradition of the Yell County Fair is the crowning event for all of Yell County’s hard work and creativity. Crafts, educational booths, livestock judging, the Fair Rodeo, and of course the Midway featuring food, fun and rides. The week kicks off with the Miss Yell County Pageant. Throughout Fair Week we host the Yell County Talent show, and the Yell County Fair Parade on Main Street. The Sylvia and CW Worthington Memorial Fair Grounds are located on State Highway 10 East in Danville.
Chamber of Commerce Banquet Food, Awards and Guest Speakers. Previous Speakers include Governor Mike Huckabee, and FEMA Director James Lee Witt. Held annually at Chamberlyne Country Club in the early spring. Danville Lions Club Pancake Day Mid October. Traditionally held at the First Baptist Church, the day features some of the best breakfast foods prepared by the Lions: Plain and blueberry pancakes, fresh whole hog sausage and bacon. Proceeds raised during the event go toward lions club projects Danville High School Sports Small Town America’s sports are the best, see the Schools page for more information on Danville Schools and school related activities.
